Analytical Testing License holders in Canada

All companies in Canada who plan to analytically test cannabis must hold a federal Analytical Testing Licence. License holders can provide cannabis testing services to other license holders. The licensed analytical testers listed below are authorized to perform some or all of the following testing activities under Health Canada's Cannabis Regulations:
  • Possess cannabis
  • Alter the chemical or physical properties of cannabis for the purposes of testing
Restrictions:
  • All samples of a lot or batch of cannabis must be destroyed within 90 days of the completion of the testing
  • If testing is not started within 120 days of sample receipt, samples must be destroyed
